OT-775 Occupational Therapy in Children and Youth

Prerequisites: OT-601, OT-602, OT-640, OT-652, OT-662, OT-770, OT-771. Pass/Fail, Audit not available. This course is an introduction to occupational therapy practice for pediatric populations. Students will examine the occupations of infants, children and youth. Developmental milestones will be reviewed in relation to ADL, play, school, leisure, social, and family interactions. Students will apply a variety of theories and frames of reference related to pediatric practice. Family centered care and collaborative consultation across a variety of settings will be emphasized. This course includes a lab.
