Course Description

This course covers basic electrical theory, including Ohm's Law and basic dc circuits. Through the use of specially designed electrical trainers and hands-on experience, students investigate electrical systems common to the automobile. The course explains and demonstrates theory, construction, operation, and testing of batteries, starters, and charging systems. The course includes individualized hands-on laboratory training utilizing live work. NOTE: Students registering for this course must have a valid driver's license.
