HBIO-452 Introduction to Biology 2

Prerequisite: HBIO-450. The course will examine Evolutionary biology and the origin of the species and phylogenetic mechanisms; the evolutionary history of biological diversity of bacteria, single-cell organisms, fungi, plants, and animals. We will analyze how animal form correlates to function.  The course will also examine principles of general physiology such as digestion, mechanisms of circulation of nutrients and gasses, the immune system, and renal, endocrine, reproductive, and nervous systems. This course has a required online laboratory component.
