11.2.1. Attendance at Examinations
If a student is unable to attend a written, oral, or practical examination, the student must notify the instructor by e-mail
prior to the exam. The student must be able to substantiate a valid reason for missing the exam, such as illness, religious holiday, or death in the family. Except in extenuating circumstances, failure to notify the instructor in advance will result in failure of the exam at the discretion of the instructor.
When, after proper notification, a student misses an exam, the student must contact the instructor within 48 hours following the original exam date to schedule a make-up exam. The make-up exam day, time and place are at the discretion of the course coordinator. The format of the exam will be determined by the course instructor and will not be the same as the missed exam. Failure to make timely arrangements to make up the exam will result in a grade of zero for that exam.
