31.1.1. Written Examination
Students will complete end-of-clerkship exams following each core (non-elective) clerkship. The End of Rotation (EOR) exams are developed by the Physician Assistant Education Association (PAEA). The exam content is reflective of supplied PAEA Topic Lists, Blueprints, And Core Tasks and Objectives, but not intended to be all-inclusive. A minimum score of 65% is required to pass the exam and the clerkship. Students who fail an exam will be required to perform a retake, testing the same content, but not containing the same questions. The student must score >65% on the repeat exam to successfully pass the course. A student will be permitted to retake one end-of-rotation exam during the clerkship year in order to pass a clerkship. Failure to successfully pass the end-of-rotation retake will result in automatic clerkship failure, referral to SDC for implementation of a remediation plan, and potential delay in graduation. Failure of a subsequent clerkship end-of-rotation exam will result in automatic clerkship failure, referral to SDC, and potential delay in graduation or dismissal from the program.
