Competencies
Students must obtain an 80% (B-) or better on all competency components of a course in order to progress in the OTD program. Competency requirements of each course are clearly labeled on the course syllabus. Students may be offered remediation at the discretion of course faculty or as indicated on the course syllabus. Students given the option to remediate must attain an 80 or better during the remediation. If they receive a grade of 80% or better, the grade will be recorded as an 80.
In the event that students are not given the option to remediate the competency or fail to attain the required 80% or better during the remedial competency, oral and written communication between course faculty and student will be reviewed by the Committee on Academic Policies and Procedures. The Committee will follow due process when determining a course of action regarding student progression in the program.
