2.1 AuD Faculty and CSD Leadership
Andrea Pittman, PhD, CCC-A, is a Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders and the Director of the Doctor of Audiology program. She also directs the Hearing Research lab where she and her staff study pediatric hearing loss and hearing devices.
Emily Jo Venskytis, AuD, CCC-A, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders and the Director of Clinical Education for the AuD program. She specializes in pediatric audiology with interests in complex diagnostics and cochlear implants.
King Chung, PhD, CCC-A, is a Professor the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders and specializes in hearing aid research and humanitarian audiology all over the world.
Julie Arenberg, PhD, CCC-A, is an Adjunct Professor in the AuD program as well as an Associate Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology at Harvard Medical School. She is also the Director of Clinical Audiology Research and Education at Massachusetts Eye and Ear (MEE).
Elin Roverud, AuD, PhD, CCC-A, is an Adjunct Professor in the AuD program as well as a Research Assistant Professor in the Psychoacoustics Laboratory at Boston University. Dr. Roverud studies perceptual training and auditory learning, selective auditory attention, hearing loss-induced changes in the processing of complex sounds, and perceptual manifestations of the medial olivocochlear reflex.
Ashley Gaucher, AuD, CCC-A, is a lecturer in the AuD program as well as an audiologist at Mass Eye and Ear. Dr. Gaucher teaches the Auditory Etiology course.
Brian Fligor, ScD, CCC-A, is a lecturer in the AuD program as well as the Clinical Director of Audiology at Tobias & Battite Hearing Wellness. Dr. Fligor specializes in hearing conservation.
Jeff Martin, PhD, CCC-A, is a lecturer in the AuD program with extensive experience in AuD education at the University of Texas at Dallas and Western Washington University. Dr. Martin teaching basic audiometry as well as other courses in the curriculum.
Guangwei Zhou, MD, ScD, CCC-A, is a lecturer in the AuD program as well as the Assistant Clinical Director in the Department of Otolaryngology and Communication Enhancement at Boston Children’s Hospital. Dr. Zhou is a clinician researcher who specializes in vestibular disorders in children.
Bridget Perry, PhD, CCC-SLP, is the interim Chair of the of Department Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) as well as the Program Director for the Speech Language Pathology Post-Professional Doctoral program.
