Army ROTC Military Science and Leadership

LTC Jeremy Rockwell, Professor of Military Science and Leadership

Faculty: Averkamp, Deville, Harrison, Rosenbalm

The University of Portland, in cooperation with the U.S. Army, established the Department of Military Science and Leadership to operate the Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC). Army ROTC develops leaders through practical study and immersive training experiences while providing numerous scholarship opportunities and incentives. Students who successfully complete all ROTC requirements earn a commission as an officer in the U.S. Army while achieving a degree (undergraduate or graduate) in an academic discipline of their choice. First- and second-year courses are open to any University student and may be taken without obligation to the U.S. Army.
