Environmental Engineering Minor
Environmental engineering applies concepts from biology, chemistry, physics, hydraulics, and environmental science to solve environmental problems. Environmental engineering addresses significant questions of human concern that are pervasive in the 21st Century, e.g. access to clean water, environmental cleanup, environmental ethics and social justice, climate change, etc.
Learning Outcomes:
- Gain depth of understanding in at least one aspect of environmental engineering design.
- Apply concepts of sustainability and low impact design to engineering problems.
Minor Prerequisites - 13 credit hours
All prerequisites are required, regardless of chosen minor electives.
Non-engineering majors may need to take additional prerequisites for some of these courses.
Minor Requirement - 3 credit hours
Minor Electives - 9 credit hours
Select three courses from the following:
For students enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering degree, only one of these 3-credit electives can be counted towards the 6 credits of required civil engineering electives.
