NH-743 Management of Addiction Disorders

Prerequisites: None. Pass/Fail option available. This course provides students with a strong foundation in the theory, clinical application, and evidence base for various (psycho-social) models of treatment for addiction, recovery, relapse prevention, and continuing care for addictive disorders and related problems. Focus is on psychosocial treatment modalities and appropriate placement in the continuum of care for patient/client populations across the lifespan and in various contexts. The importance of family, social networks, and community systems in the treatment and recovery process will be emphasized.
