PA-741 Principles of Reproductive Medicine

Prerequisites: Successful completion of Semester 2 courses. This course provides students with a comprehensive look at the diagnosis and management of common diseases of the male and female reproductive systems,  beginning with normal anatomy and physiology followed by pathophysiology, genetic manifestations, and epidemiology. Students will then explore risk factors, signs, symptoms, and diagnostic studies that provide the foundation for the diagnosis and treatment, including pharmacotherapeutics, of reproductive system diseases.  Concepts of prevention, patient education, chronic disease management, and follow-up are covered.
