RS-940 Advanced Measurement in Health and Rehabilitation Science

Prerequisites: None. This course is an overview of classical test theory, item response theory, and application of measurement principles to the judicious selection, use, and interpretation of measurement tools in rehabilitation research and practice. It will include critical analysis of psychometric properties of common clinical tests and measures through investigation of measurement properties including reliability, validity, and responsiveness to change. There will be a review of contemporary conceptual models that critically inform our understanding of diagnosis, intervention, and documentation of outcomes.
