NP-762N Advanced Health Assessment & Diagnostic Reasoning Across the Lifespan
Prerequisites: Successful completion of all generalist level clinical courses including
NS-621 (Pathophysiology),
NS-622 (Pharmacology),
NS-660 (Nursing Practice, Process and Skills);
NS-661 (Nursing Practice, Common Problems);
NS-663 (Biobehavioral),
NS-664 (Community),
NS-665 (Health Assessment), or RN status. Pass/fail and audit not available. In this course, students develop competence in the diagnostic reasoning process at the advanced practice level. Emphasis is placed on advanced practice physical, psychosocial, and cultural assessment skills, differentiating between expected and unexpected findings, and social determinants of health across the life span.
