NP-881C Women's Health Practicum

Prerequisites: NP-762, NP-701 & NP-861A. Pre or Co-requisites: NP-853. NP-881C is the third clinical practicum that prepares students for advanced practice as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. Students are placed in clinical sites with a preceptor where they apply knowledge and skills gained in NP 762 (Women’s Health Clinical Seminar), NP 881-a & b (may be taken concurrently), and NP 752 (Women’s Health Theory I) and NP 853 (Women’s Health Theory II, which may be taken before or concurrently) to clinical practice. Each clinical placement offers unique experiences, and will provide the student with exposure to and participation in the sexual and reproductive health care of increasingly complex patients under the supervision of a qualified health care professional.
