It is a general survey of the contributions of physics and chemistry to man's understanding of basic physical science concepts and will expose the student to the basic scientific vocabulary. In laboratory, students will develop skill with equipment, laboratory techniques and procedures, plus lab investigative skills to solve physics and chemistry-related problems. The lab emphasis is on the application of basic physical science principles in studying and solving problems plus the operation of basic equipment. Basic mathematics skills will be needed to illustrate some of these principles.
