BMGT-912 Coaching for Actors
In this course the student will receive an introduction to the basic theory and principles of coaching as they apply to the performing arts. This theory will include the background history of coaching in the arts, coaching as a discipline, a professional practice and some basics about the application of psychology to coaching. In addition, there will be an introduction to the business basics of establishing a coaching practice in the fine arts field. After successful completion of this curse, the student will have worked on co-creating a coaching relationship and communicating effectively. This course will include case studies, role-playing and journaling.
