NURS-140 Advanced Concepts in Practical Nursing
This course will prepare the practical nurse student to provide care for individuals of all ages experiencing more complex health care problems resulting from the major responses to stress. The student will explore the role of the practical nurse in health care and utilize the steps of the nursing process to provide safe nursing care to a small group of patients. Experience in managing the care provided by auxiliary nursing personnel will be integrated into clinical assignments. Successful completion of this course includes success on the exit examination. Prerequisites: NURS-134, NURS-135, PSYC-101, and ENGL-121.
