ARTT 226 Life Drawing II

This course is a continuation of ARTT-225, Life Drawing I. Students will continue to work from the live model and develop the perceptual skills necessary to life drawing. Advanced projects related to the study of anatomy and traditional drawing conventions will be required. Drawing II students will analyze the structure and the anatomy of old master drawings.

Course Objectives

  1. 1. Control the proportions and shapes of the human figure through visual measuring, relationships, and
    analyzing edge directions.
  2. 2. Analyze the planes and basic forms of the human figure.
  3. 3. Analyze the anatomy of all parts of the human body.
  4. 4. Use a knowledge of anatomy to facilitate the perception and depiction of the human figure in drawing.
  5. 5. Continue developing the skills and knowledge covered in Life Drawing I.
