ENGL 084 Academic Intermediate Writing and Grammar for ESL Students

In this course, students will acquire the English language skills needed to produce paragraphs at an intermediate proficiency level. A variety of reading selections and discussion activities will serve to prepare students to compose paragraphs that demonstrate critical thinking. Writing themes will help students to develop a global awareness. Paragraph development will progress to the production of an organized essay by the end of the semester. Grammatical skills will be developed through formal instruction, group editing, and computer-assisted instruction.

  8. 8. Use a variety of basic verb forms.
  9. 9. Edit and revise one's own writing.
