DANC 171 Beginning Modern Dance Technique I

This course provides a foundation for modern dance techniques at the beginning level with emphasis on placement and alignment of the body and other preparatory work necessary for the establishment of a sound technical foundation. This course provides development of knowledge, skills, abilities, and appreciation through daily practice and vocabulary of modern dance. Students at this level must be competent at the introductory level and ready to perform longer and more complex movement sequences.
