ARTS 101 Two-Dimensional Art and Design

This course focuses on the theories, practices, and techniques of two-dimensional art, with an emphasis on composition and design. Through the creation of original artwork, lecture, discussion, idea generation, and critique students will develop a creative skillset and a vocabulary common to art across medium, culture, and time. While engaged in the art-making process and informed discourse about two-dimensional art, students will broaden and strengthen their own personal creativity while further developing creative and critical thinking.
