DMSU 202 Vascular Sonography Introduction Lab

This laboratory course reinforces what students have learned in the Vascular Sonography Introduction lecture course. The hands-on facilitation will enable students to build on previous ultrasound knobology knowledge pertaining to vascular scanning. Students will produce vascular sonograms.

Course Objectives

  1. Employ laboratory tools and equipment to perform vascular ultrasounds.
  2. Relate skills acquired during lectures to evaluate hemodynamics in vascular sonography.
  3. Apply accepted procedures and protocols for all learned sonographic studies in vascular ultrasound.
  4. Demonstrate time management skills while performing vascular ultrasound examinations.
  5. Operate equipment knobology as it relates to vascular ultrasound to enhance images.
