All applications to the Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing program are processed through the Centralized Application Service (NursingCAS).
Admission into the ABSN program requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited US college or university. Applicants who are graduates from outside the US must provide proof of equivalency of a bachelor's degree by submitting a course-by-course evaluation from World Education Services (WES). A bachelor's degree may be in-progress at the time of application, provided completion prior to anticipated matriculation into the ABSN program.
Applicants to the ABSN program are required to submit a TEAS score report.
Completion of the following prerequisite courses with a grade of C or better is required for admission (all courses should have been taken within 10 years of the application deadline). Human Anatomy or Human Anatomy & Physiology I
Human Physiology or Human Anatomy & Physiology II
Human Growth & Development (Must cover lifespan) aka: Developmental Psychology
Microbiology (No lab required)
Human Nutrition
Statistics (Must include inferential statistics)
Applicants with extenuating circumstances may apply for a waiver of the 10 year policy by completing and submitting the ABSN Prerequisite Time Limit Waiver Form. This form should be submitted either before or along with the application for admission, and is available in the “Application Process” section of our website.
