NH-826 Health of Vulnerable Populations: Immigrants, Refugees, & Native Americans

Prerequisites: None. Pass/Fail option available. Immigrants, refugees, and Native Americans bring unique experiences with profound implications for their health care experience. To provide optimal care, providers must be sensitive and knowledgeable of expectations and practices unique to these populations. This course explores cultural and health care patterns and practices as well as previous experiences relevant to immigrants, refugees, and Native Americans. The course will also discuss available resources, as well as potential challenges confronted by those providing health care.
