Pass/Fail Option
Students may take a maximum of 20% of the total credits required to graduate or complete the program on a Pass/Fail basis, subject to the following:
- The Pass/Fail option is available only for selected required course. See below.
- Any course taken as an elective may be taken as Pass/Fail, subject to approval of the faculty and to the 20% of total credit limit.
- DNP 800 courses that are designated as Pass/Fail only are exempt from the 20% limit.

If a student wishes to change their grade option from “Pass/Fail” to a grade, or from a grade to “Pass/Fail” in a course that allows that option, the following form must be completed and approved by the course faculty. The Change of Grade scale form may be obtained from the Registrar’s website/Important Forms.

Master of Science in Nursing
NS-601 History of Nursing Ideas (3 credits)
NH-602 Health Care Policies & Politics (3 credits)
NH-720 Research for Clinical Practice (3 credits)
NP-839 Professional Issues (2 credits)
Accelerated Baccalaureate in Nursing
NS-512 History of Nursing Ideas (3 credits)
NH-531 Health Care Policy & Politics (3 credits)
HP-529 Ethics (2 credits)
Doctor of Nursing Practice
DNP 900 level courses have the Pass/Fail option or designation.
DNP 966C Courses may be taken as Pass/Fail
DNP 966E Courses may be taken as Pass/Fail
DNP 967 Course is Pass/Fail
