SPAN250 Spanish Second-Year Intensive

This second-year course, a compilation of Intermediate Spanish I, II, and III, is designed to develop communicative skills with accuracy and fluency in Spanish at the high-intermediate level. Instruction is delivered primarily in Spanish, using a communicative approach in which student participation is maximized. It includes composition, reading, morphology and syntax, listening, oral practice and cultural awareness. Authentic audiovisual and reading materials through library resources and the Internet are used on a regular basis. Counts in the Humanities area of General Education requirements. Not open to native speakers of Spanish. Prerequisite(s): SPAN120 or SPAN130; placement; or consent of the department. Not open to native or heritage speakers of Spanish. 5 quarter hours
