Fundamentals of Design Thinking

The Fundamentals of Design Thinking Concentration is an introduction to design thinking and emphasizes a human-centered approach to innovation. The curriculum will encourage students to develop a deep understanding of users, think broadly about problems, and recognize the value in the contributions of others. In addition, the curriculum is focused on a cohesive design process that blends analytical skills, collaboration, problem solving skills, and creative thinking to develop solutions and opportunities for new business ideas.

The Fundamentals of Design Thinking Concentration is designed for graduate students who want to learn about the design thinking process to enhance their creativity and learn how to implement and apply a human-centered approach to innovation. The concentration will be available to all business graduate students enrolled in the following graduate programs: Business Administration, Health Services Administration, and Public Administration.

  • Requires a grade of "C" or above in all courses
