Transfer Credit Policy

Transfer credit policy for Culinary Arts and Baking & Pastry students transferring into Kendall College to complete an A.A.S. or B.A. degree. 

Students may transfer general education and program identified major courses that are equivalent to the degree requirements and meet NLU transfer policies.  

Students who have extensive culinary and baking/pastry lab credits may request to have their credits evaluated and if determined by the program that they are transferable, will set up a proficiency practical exam for the student to complete for final approval. 

Students with an earned Associate of Applied Science degree in Culinary Arts or Baking and Pastry from an approved accredited college are exempt from this policy and will transfer the full equivalent of their degree which all coursework be applied toward the Bachelor of Arts degree in major, concentration, general education, advanced and free electives degree requirements. All transfer courses must be completed with a grade of C or 2.00 or higher).
