SOW 2031 Introduction to Social Work and Social Welfare
Examines the history, practice settings, and career paths of the social work profession. Four components are used to view social work issues: economic and social justice, a supportive environment, human needs and rights, and political access. With an emphasis on advocacy, all levels of practice are studied including the clinical/client level, as well as the organizational, community, national, and international levels.
