Advanced Placement Program (AP)
Students wishing to receive credit for advanced placement tests (AP) must submit an official AP score report from the College Board to the Office of the Director of Records and Registration. Students achieving a minimum score of three (3) on an AP test of the College Board will be given credit for the course covered by the test. Scores of four (4) or five (5) may allow students to receive credit for additional courses.
College-Level Examination Program (CLEP)
Students wishing to receive credit for CLEP tests must submit an official CLEP transcript to the Office of the Director of Records and Registration. Students achieving a score at or above the minimum score set by the American Council on Education will receive the appropriate credit for the subject covered by the test.
DANTES Subject Standardized Test (DSST)
Students wishing to receive credit for DSST must submit an official DSST transcript to the Office of the Director of Records and Registration. Students achieving a score at or above the minimum score set by the American Council on Education will receive the appropriate credit for the subject covered by the test.
Departmental Proficiency Exams
The College may grant credit by examination when students demonstrate college level achievement in a subject area by earning a passing score on an examination approved by the academic department granting the credit. The program coordinator or director will determine the eligibility of a student to take a proficiency exam, establish the passing score, and administer the exam only one time.
