EDU 30700 Teaching Reading in the Content Areas

This course is designed to provide prospective teachers of Grades 5-12 with techniques for assessing and improving reading and study skills in the content areas. Students will learn to apply reading concepts, theories, and techniques to content area material by developing model lesson plans and materials. This course satisfies state requirements of completing a basic reading course for middle school and secondary certification.
