PARA 38900 Clinical Practicum II

Students will perform clinical rotations at program hospitals and clinics to develop paramedic skills and competencies under the supervision of licensed clinical preceptors. Students will perform a variety of paramedic psychomotor skills including patient assessment, airway management and clinical skills in the intensive care unit, cardiac and emergency department settings. Students will also observe interventional cardiac procedures in cardiac catheterization laboratories. Evening and/or weekend classes may be required. Lab fee required.

Prerequisite

CPR certification, medical screening, current vaccinations, criminal background check, and drug screen. PARA 31000, PARA 32000, PARA 33000, PARA 34000, and PARA 38800. All prerequisite courses must have a grade of C or better.
