PARA 41000 Clinical Practicum III

Students will perform clinical rotations at program hospitals and clinics to develop paramedic skills and competencies under the supervision of licensed clinical preceptors. Students will perform a variety of paramedic psychomotor skills including patient assessment, airway management and paramedic clinical skills in the labor and delivery unit, emergency department, pediatric emergency department, long term care center, outpatient pediatric clinics and inpatient or outpatient behavioral clinic settings. Evening and/or weekend classes may be required. Lab fee required.

Prerequisite

CPR certification, medical screening, current vaccinations, criminal background check, and drug screen. PARA 34000, PARA 35000, and PARA 38900. All prerequisite courses must have a grade of C or better.
