Graduation Ceremonies
Students who have completed all academic coursework and are scheduled to receive their degree within that calendar year are eligible to participate in the Institute’s May commencement ceremony, provided they first receive approval to participate from the Executive Committee and provided there is agreement between the student and the primary members of their committee (Research Mentor/Committee Chairperson) that the student’s dissertation will be completed (orally defended and signed off by the Dissertation Committee) on or before the last Friday in August of that same year. Students slated for graduation are required to provide the title of their dissertations to the PhD RS Program (for publication in the Commencement Program) by the first month of the semester that they will graduate.
