Transfer Applicants from the University of Rhode Island and the Community College of Rhode Island
According to the Rhode Island Board of Educations’ “Policy for Articulation and Transfer,” all college credit earned in comparable courses at the University of Rhode Island and the Community College of Rhode Island with minimally acceptable grades is transferable to Rhode Island College. Students with a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.4, graduating from CCRI with an Associate in Arts, an Associate in Science in business administration or computer science, or an Associate in Applied Science in radiography, are guaranteed admission to Rhode Island College. (There are restrictions on entry into certain majors and professional programs.) These students will be able to transfer all credit earned for their associate degree, but any credit earned beyond it will be evaluated separately.
Students who possess the specified degree, with a minimum GPA of 2.0, may be accepted to Rhode Island College and their credits evaluated on a course-by-course basis.
