NH-741 Addiction: Foundations of Assessment and Diagnosis

Prerequisites: None. Pass/Fail option available. This course provides students with the background and skills for screening, assessment and diagnosis of addiction disorders. The course provides an overview of the physiology and neurobiology of addiction, the history and evolution of addictions, approaches to prevention, relevant policies and legislation and the culture of addiction.
