Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN)

  • All applications to the Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing program are processed through the Centralized Application Service (NursingCAS).

  • Admission into the ABSN program requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited US college or university. Applicants who are graduates from outside the US must provide proof of equivalency of a bachelor's degree by submitting a course-by-course evaluation from one of the following NACES (National Association of Credential Evaluation Services) members: Educational Credential Evaluators, Inc., SpanTran: The Evaluation Company, World Education Services (WES), or the Center for Educational Documentation. If you earned your bachelor’s degree outside the U.S. this credential evaluation must document minimum equivalency of a US baccalaureate degree or higher. A bachelor's degree may be in-progress at the time of application, provided completion prior to anticipated matriculation into the ABSN program.

  • Applicants to the ABSN program are required to submit a TEAS score report. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) test requirement will not be considered in admission decisions for the spring 2021 application cycle. However, if you have taken the TEAS, please submit the scores with your NursingCAS application. Score reports can be obtained by contacting the Assessment Technologies Institute (atitesting.com).

  • Completion of the following prerequisite courses with a grade of C or better is required for admission (all courses should have been taken within 10 years of the application deadline). All prerequisites courses must be completed prior to matriculation. Please visit our ABSN Program Application Process and Requirements page for additional details and specific requirements.
