OT-887 Health Promotion, Community and Occupation

Prerequisites: OH-881, OH-882, OT-883, OT-884. This course provides an overview of health promotion, wellness and health maintenance in inpatient and community-based settings. It provides students with health promotion principles at the individual and population levels, allowing students to assess health needs across contexts. Students identify an area of health promotion within their areas of interest and develop a program that is theory-driven. Health promotion program development will encompass theory, models, and contexts developed in prior coursework.
