COURSE UPDATES AND/OR CHANGES:

6/15/17 - Course Description Change  

FINA 1300 - Introduction to Investments   (pg. 280 in the print catalog)

This beginning course in investments presents a review of introductory concepts specific to risk and return, stocks, mutual funds, bonds, and personal portfolio construction and management.  

 

6/15/17 - Change in course Prerequisites

CHRM 2125 - Casual Dining    (pg. 247 in the print catalog)

Prerequites: (3) CHRM 1020, CHRM 1030 and CHRM 1035 or CHRM 1120 or CHRM 1130 or CHRM 1150 or CHRM 1210 - must be completed prior to taking this course.

 

MATH 1420 - College Algebra    (pg. 321 in the print catalog)

Prerequisites should read as follows: (1) Within one year prior to beginning the course, completion of MATH 1310 with a grade of C or better, or within one year placement via the MCC placement test, or within two years placement via a Math ACT score.

The following has been removed from the course description "NOTE: For this course, there is an additional $30.00 lab fee and $50.00 one-time fee for the I-CAR intro curriculum."

 

AUTB 2241 - Nonstructural Repair VI  (pg. 232 in the print catalog)

The following has been removed from the course description - "NOTE: For this course, there is an additional fee of $100.00 for the I-CAR exit exam."

Under Additional section of General Education requirements, Students can take HMRL 1010 or RDLS 1200 to meet the requirement.

 

6/15/17 - Fire Science Technology (FSAAS)   (pg. 100 in the print catalog)

Under Additional section of General Education requirements, Students can take HMRL 1010 or RDLS 1200 to meet the requirement.


6/15/17 - Criminal Justice - Corrections (CJCNO) and Criminal Justice - Law Enforcement (CJLEO)    (pgs. 94-95 in the print catalog)

Under Additional section of General Education requirements, Students can take HMRL 1010 or RDLS 1200 to meet the requirement.

 

6/15/17 - Full Stack Web Development Career Certificate (VFSCC)    (pg. 208 in print catalog)

The only option for this certificate is INFO 1941 and INFO 1942.

Under Quantitative/numeracy skills section of General education requirements, it should read: MATH 1240 or higher; Students in this option must take MATH 1420.

Under Quantitative/numeracy skills section of General education requirements, it should read: MATH 1240 or higher, MATH 1240 Applied mathematics is recommended but may not transfer.

The total number of hours for this career certificate should read 33 credit hours. 

 

7/13/17 - Industrial Distribution 1 (ID1C1)   (pg. 166 in print catalog)

The total number of major requirement hours for this certificate of achievement should read 24 credit hours. The total number of credit hours for this certificate of achievement should read 51 credit hours. 

 

7/13/17 - Professional Communication (PRCCC)   (pg. 54 in print catalog)

The total number of credit hours for this career certificate should be 31.5.

 

7/13/17 - Landscape Design (HLLCC)   (pg. 137 in print catalog)

The total number of credit hours for this career certificate should be 29.

 

7/13/17 - Medical Assisting (MDACE)  (pg. 142 in print catalog)

The total number of general Education credits should be 19.5 credit hours.  The total number of credit hours for the program should be 95.5.

 

8/8/17 - Interior Design (IDAS1)  (pg. 66 in print catalog)

Under Major requirements for Interior Design, SCET 1120 - AutoCad Essentials has been added as an elective.

 

9/11/17 - For all Associate of Applied Sciences degrees in the Industrial and Transportation area  (pgs. 158-181 in the print catalog)

Under Additional section of General Education requirements, Students can take HMRL 1010 or RDLS 1200 to meet the requirement.

 

9/11/17 - Construction and Building Science - Construction Management (CBCMO)   (pg. 112 in print catalog)

Under Quantitative/numeracy skills section of General education requirements, it should read: MATH 1240 or higher; Students planning to transfer should take MATH 1420.

 

9/24/17 - Electrical Apprenticeship (AREAO)  (pg. 115 in print catalog)

Under Graduation Requirements the Major requirements should be 13.5 credit hours and the total credit hours required should be 96.5.

 

10/2/17 - Landscape Design (HLLCC)  (pg. 137 in print catalog)

Course HLSM 1050 - Introduction to Landscape Design, was added to the career certificate as it is a prerequisite for two other classes in the program. The total credit hours for this career certificate is now 32.


12/5/17 - Theatre (THEAA) (pg. 68 in print catalog)

Under Major requirements THEA 1000 is a required course. Students should then select 36 credit hours from the first group of electives.  Under the second group of electives students will select 9.0 hours from the following: HUMS, MUSC, PHIL and SPCH.

Tuition - New tuition rates beginning Fall Quarter. Nebraska Residents: Standard tuition is $61.00 per credit hour. Tuition for persons 62 years of age or older is $30.50 per credit hour. College Now! high school student is $30.50 per credit hour. Non-Nebraska Residents: Standard tuition is $91.50 per credit hour. Tuition for persons 62 years of age or older is $45.75 per credit hour.
