MUSI 4395 Recording Arts

This course will serve as an introduction to the engineering and production practices and theories of the audio recording studio. The student will have hands-on experience with digital-mixing consoles, multi-track recording, signal processing, and microphone placement. Attention will be given to the concepts of quality audio recordings, audio mastering, critical listening and studio session management. This course will include the opportunity for the student to become an Avid Pro-Tools Certified Operator. Prerequisite: MUSI 3336 Advanced Music Technology
