PARA 1120 Real Estate Law (3-0-3)

This course introduces students to the basic concepts of real property law as they pertain to common types of real estate transactions. Instructors emphasize practical skills such as document preparation and title examination. Topics include real estate contracts, plat reading and legal descriptions, types and purposes of deeds, title searches, common real estate mortgages and documentation, real estate closing and closing statements, recordation statutes and requirements, and elements of the lease. Students must pay a $25 supply fee when registering for this course.
