Employment

Computer support specialists held about 835,300 jobs nationally in 2016. Although they worked in a wide range of industries, about 20 percent were employed in the computer systems design and related services industry. Employment of computer support specialists is expected to increase by 11 percent from 2016 to 2026, faster than the average for all occupations. Moe support services will be needed as organizations upgrade their computer equipment and software.
