Employment

Paralegals and legal assistants held about 37,800 jobs in 2019. Legal services and private law firms employed about 73 percent; most of the remainder worked for corporate legal departments and various levels of government. Employment of paralegals and legal assistants is projected to grow 10 percent between 2019 and 2029.
