ARH 238 History & Analysis of Craft

Prerequisite: GSTR 110 (or waiver)

Offered: Typically as student interest and faculty availability allow

A survey of the history of a craft and the range of concepts and techniques used to understand the objects and those who have produced and consumed them. It will focus on art historical, archaeological, and anthropological methods and discoveries and will incorporate lecture, discussion, and laboratory approaches.
