AST 240 Kinshp/Gen SE Asia (SOC/WGS)

An introduction to the diversity of Southeast Asian peoples, religions, economies, and lifestyles through the lenses of kinship and gender. The social and cultural bonds that unify Southeast Asia will also be analyzed in this course. The course topics will be engaged in two ways: in general area-wide seminar discussions and via student-led workshops. Student groups will conduct independent research on selected topics.
