Physics Minor

A Physics minor provides a solid foundation in physics to non-physics majors who may wish to apply the analytical skills and principles of physics to their own field of study. The Physics minor may be of interest to students wishing to enhance their understanding of physical phenomena, and may be particularly useful for majors such as Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, and Mathematics.

Degree Requirements

The minor in Physics requires a minimum of five (5) course credits, as follows:

Required Core Courses

PHY 221	Intro Physics I with Calculus	1 Course Credit
PHY 222	Intro Physics II with Calculus	1 Course Credit
PHY 320	Modern Physics	1 Course Credit

PHY 221 and PHY 222 and PHY 320 (PHY 127/128 can be substituted for PHY 221/ 222 with permission of the Program Chair.

Required Distribution Courses

Two (2) additional PHY course credits chosen from the following:
