HHP 226 Racquetball

Prerequisite: HLT 100 (Formerly PEH 100), or WELL 101, or permission of instructor

Offered: Typically Fall and Spring terms

This is a beginning level activity course designed to introduce students to the fundamental skills, knowledge, and rules of racquetball. Class time will be spent practicing basic skills involving offensive and defensive shots (passing shot, cross-court shot, kill shot, lob serve, drive serve, and ceiling shot), rules and basic strategies and apply these skills in singles, cutthroat and doubles competition. Additionally, students will develop an appreciation for the lifetime recreational value of racquetball.  ¼ Course Credit
