NUR 351 Mental Health Nursing

Prerequisites: Admission to the Nursing major

The focus of this course is on nursing care of clients with mental health problems across the lifespan. Complex communication skills are developed for interacting across the health care continuum with mental health clients. This course includes three hours of didactic/classroom experience each week and 84 hours of clinical experience per term.
