CHI 45000 Contemporary Chinese Literature

This is an introductory course conducted in Chinese using examples from Chinese literature since the late nineteenth century. Students will analyze selections of prose, poetry, and philosophy in the original Chinese. By studying the literature of the period students will form an impression of the various cultural developments in modern China.
