MUS 34400 Music Theory IV

This course is an extension of MUS 34300 and includes the following components: (a) extended and chromatic harmony, including ninth, eleventh, and thirteenth chords, altered dominants, and chromatic mediants; (b) Nineteenth and Twentieth centuries, including the Romantic Period, the Post-Romantic style, Impressionism and related styles, the early Twentieth century, Twelve-Tone technique, and music since 1945.
